The Slang are an American duo formed in 2014, featuring singer/guitarist John Bobo, and producer/guitarist Felix Nieto. They are known for their alternative pop rock sound that draws influences from The Cure, The Killers, The 1975, Talking Heads, and many other artists.

 

Their approach to writing and releasing music is a rarity these days. They are completely self-financed with production quality on par with any major label band while retaining complete creative freedom. They shun all social media and rarely play live shows, preferring to connect with fans by releasing new music on streaming platforms.
